Purpose of the job
You will be part of a team of several radio dimensioning engineers, whose role is to help the subsidiaries embedded in the REC anticipate and adapt the capacity needs of the 2G/3G/4G/5G (6G in the future) mobile access network in order to absorb the forecasted traffic of customers, to limit the level of radio congestion, and to offer the best network service quality (in terms of accessibility, communication maintenance) and customer experience (voice quality, data rate).
You will be responsible for carrying out RAN dimensioning studies (budget and capacity forecasting, congestion) based on the traffic and technological evolution inputs of the network provided by the subsidiaries embedded in the REC.
Duties and responsibilities
As a radio Capacity engineer, the main activities will include:
- Conducting budget studies (capacity needs estimation) for subsidiaries every year, as well as updates for budget reviews
- Collecting the necessary inputs from subsidiaries to ensure the proper completion of these studies
- Monitoring the capacity deployment planned in the budget program, with subsidiaries
- Ensuring that the subsidiaries involved in the REC apply the rules of architecture and sizing mobile access networks
- Distributing and implementing the congestion detection decision tree defined by the Group, and supporting subsidiaries involved in the REC in capacity monitoring/congestion exercises at the bottom and middle of the network
