You will also provide support to subsidiaries involved in the REC to ensure the technological evolution of existing radio sites through the management of technology trials and the implementation of Group recommendations to meet our customers' expectations in terms of improving Radio Quality of Service.

In terms of ongoing activity for our customers, you will participate in the analysis of drive tests and the operation of automatic optimization tools (C-SON) to continuously improve Radio performance.

Duties and responsibilities

As a design and planning engineer for radio, the main activities will include:

  1. Conducting budget studies (estimation of the need for new sites) each year, as well as updates for budget reviews
  2. Monitoring the deployment of sites included in the budget program, with subsidiaries
  3. Regularly managing with subsidiaries, the evolution of radio site configurations (e.g. new sites, antenna optimization, etc.), to ensure that the subsidiaries' mobile network site databases are kept up to date in our radio planning tools (e.g. Asset / Atoll)
  4. Carrying out optimization actions for mobile network planning: frequency plans in 2G, scrambling codes in 3G, PCI in 4G, etc.
  5. Recommending optimization actions for radio design and planning to reduce coverage and capacity constraints in areas or layers with several technologies (traffic steering, etc.)
  6. Carrying out cross-disciplinary or specific technical studies for radio engineering (e.g., indoor coverage, stadiums, etc.)
