Safety and Compliance Supervisor will be responsible for inspiring best practices, and driving continuous improvement across all facets of our organization. Developing and implementing safety programs, strategies and operational plans in alignment with the local / international OSH standards, organization’s and customers’ strategies. Planning and managing the annual internal assessment program. Defining and standardizing data structures and storage formats. Implementing measurable improvements in incident reduction and operational efficiency. Leading the all the compliance and sustainability functions including policy development, legal regulations and social compliance. Ensuring the compliance with Security, health, and safety standards. Promoting a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement and driving environmental performance, quality assurances, and workforce safety management operational excellences. Improving emergency preparedness, and ensuring compliance across multi-disciplinary projects. Managing incident investigations, report findings and identifying countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence by RCA and Risk Management.
Responsibilities:1) Strategic Occupational Health & Safety Management · Developing and implementing strategies and operational plans for the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) function in alignment with the organization’s and customers’ strategies.· Communicating and ensuring effective implementation of OHS initiatives in accordance with the approved operational plans.· Conducting training sessions and lead meetings in collaboration with branch teams locally.· Representing the OHS department in meetings with clients, partners, and other organizations, including summarizing and presenting departmental activities and outcomes. 2) Internal Assessment Management (CoSMA, ISO45001:2018) · Planning and managing the annual internal assessment program.· Communicating assessment schedules, scope, and criteria to all branches.· Conducting internal assessments in accordance with CoSMA and ISO 45001:2018 standards and preparing comprehensive assessment reports.· Consolidating assessment results across the group of companies and perform root cause analysis to support continuous improvement. 3) Safety Perception Survey Management · Developing, enhancing, and standardizing the Safety Perception Survey framework across the company group.· Coordinating with external vendors for third-party safety perception survey initiatives.· Collaborating with branches to prepare for Safety Perception Surveys, including planning of resources, methodology, tools, locations, and technology. 4) Training and Workplace Safety Facilitator (WSF) Development · Developing, implementing, and annually reviewing the Workplace Safety Facilitator (WSF) training program in collaboration with branch teams.· Designing and delivering the “Culture of Safety” training program for the general workforce.· Developing and conducting advanced “Culture of Safety” training, including safety culture maturity assessments for safety teams.· Designing and delivering training on the practical application of ISO 45001:2018 requirements. 5) Safety Database & Enablon System Management (CoSMA, WSF, Machine Safety) · Defining and standardizing data structures and storage formats for CoSMA, WSF, and Machine Safety data across the company group (offline and system-based).· Controlling and governing data entry processes by designating branch-level data owners and serving as the central data reviewer within the Enablon system for CoSMA, WSF, and Machine Safety modules.
Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.· At least 10 years of experience as a Safety and Compliance Supervisor in the Retails, Apparels and/or Garments industries is a must. · Risk Assessment/ CoSMA. · Advanced Occupational HSE & Compliance management courses· ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ ISO 45001.· Enablon System Management (CoSMA, WSF, Machine Safety).· Excellent Fire systems and Fire Inspection experience · Advanced First Aid Courses.· Sustainability Compliance experience. · Occupational Health and accident investigation processes experience. · Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Arabic.· Excellent knowledge of Egyptian investments, employment laws and legislation.· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. · Resident in Ismailia City or available for relocation as soon as possible.· Egyptian citizen as it is a national position. · Available for International and Domestic travel when required.
