Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Open Shift Consultant responsible for designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Red Hat Open Shift platforms and surrounding ecosystem components across enterprise environments. The role includes architecture design, day-2 operations, automation, platform reliability, integrations, migrations, security, and customer advisory responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities1. Open Shift Platform Administration- Deploy, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Open Shift clusters.- Manage cluster operators, nodes, Machine Config, ingress, storage, networking, and authentication.- Troubleshoot platform issues including degraded operators, stuck pods, CSI issues, terminating resources, and control plane/node-level failures.2. Storage and Backup- Support CSI drivers (such as NFS CSI and related storage integrations).- Troubleshoot persistent volume, PVC, storage class, and pod mounting issues.- Manage backup and restore strategies using velero or Veritas netbackup.3. Security and Identity- Configure and troubleshoot LDAP integrations, authentication flows, and enterprise access management.4. Logging, Monitoring, and Observability- Integrate Open Shift logging with Elasticsearch and Kibana clusters.- Using monitoring solutions like Prometheus Stack.- Troubleshoot probes, exporters, and alerting reliability.5. Platform Architecture and Advisory- Design scalable Open Shift and Elasticsearch deployment architectures across VMs and containerized environments.- Provide consulting guidance for best practices across operations, HA, DR, scaling, and platform governance.- Deliver customer workshops, technical presentations, and Open Shift training sessions.
Required Skills- 4+ Years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Open Shift administration and troubleshooting- Strong Linux administration skills- Open Shift architecture and operations expertise- Experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Prometheus ecosystem.- Experience with Ansible automation and infrastructure operations- Strong troubleshooting mindset for production-critical environments- Container runtimes knowledge (Podman, CRI-O, Docker)- Networking, certificates, and enterprise authentication expertise Preferred Skills- Experience delivering technical enablement or training- Experience supporting enterprise customers or consulting engagements- Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, Open Shift-related certifications) are a plus
