Roles & Responsibilities
Pre-Opening Responsibilities
- Establish the full procurement framework, including policies, workflows, approval processes, and governance structures.
- Lead sourcing and procurement for FF&E, OS&E, services, and all operational requirements for launch.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard local and international suppliers aligned with brand standards and project timelines.
- Partner with design, project, finance, and operations teams to align specifications, budgets, and delivery schedules.
- Develop procurement tracking systems, reporting tools, and dashboards to ensure transparency and control from day one.
Operational Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
- Oversee supplier performance, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor budgets, purchase orders, and spend analysis to support financial discipline and value optimisation.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support seamless hotel operations.
- Work closely with operational departments to translate needs into effective sourcing solutions.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and global suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts that balance quality, cost, and brand alignment.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance and drive accountability and improvement.
- Act as a key commercial partner to all departments across the hotel.
Brand & Compliance
- Ensure all procurement activity reflects Portaluna and Morgans Originals brand standards.
- Promote ethical sourcing, sustainability, and responsible procurement practices.
- Maintain full compliance with internal governance, audit requirements, and local regulations.
- Support a culture of transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.
Desired Candidate Profile
What we re looking for
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (CIPS or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in procurement, ideally within luxury hospitality, lifestyle, or large-scale pre-opening developments.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost control.
- Proven ability to manage FF&E, OS&E, and operational procurement in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a strong commercial mindset.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven, with the ability to balance quality, cost, and timelines effectively.
- Fluency in English; Arabic and additional languages are a plus.
