Role Description The Material Planning Section Head will oversee the planning, coordination, and management of materials to ensure efficient production processes and cost optimization. Responsibilities include managing inventory control, monitoring material handling processes, developing materials management strategies, and ensuring timely procurement to align with production schedules. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Beni Suef.
Key Responsibilities Develop and manage the master production plan based on orders, forecasts, and factory capacity. Lead the planning team and oversee daily planning activities. Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor production progress and adjust plans to meet delivery deadlines. Analyze capacity (lines, manpower, machines) and optimize utilization. Ensure material availability in coordination with procurement. Identify risks (delays, shortages) and propose mitigation plans. Track KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), efficiency, and line utilization. Prepare and present weekly/monthly planning reports to management. Implement continuous improvement in planning processes. Handle production priorities and urgent orders effectively.
Qualifications Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, forecast demand, and determine material requirements. Proven 5 years' experience in material handling and effective implementation of systems for smooth operations. Expertise in inventory control and stock management to optimize supplies and minimize waste. Deep understanding of materials and materials management processes to meet production needs efficiently. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication abilities to lead a team and collaborate across departments. Previous experience in the manufacturing or Garment industry is a plus.
