Roles & Responsibilities
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Share the responsibility for the planning, teaching, and assessment of Business and Economics across the assigned Key Stages.
- Display the highest standards of professionalism in teaching and in relationships with colleagues, pupils, and the wider School community.
- Plan teaching to achieve progression of learning by identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught.
- Set tasks which challenge pupils and ensure high levels of interest and engagement.
- Set clear targets for pupils, building on prior attainment.
- Identify and support special educational needs or more able pupils within the classroom.
- Contribute proactively to the school s extra-curricular programme.
- Carry out other such duties as the Principal may reasonably direct from time to time.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Attainment:
- Bachelor s Degree in Business, Economics, or a closely related field (Essential).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Essential).
Skills and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of high-quality teaching experience as a qualified teacher in Business and Economics (Essential).
- Experience in the delivery of the IGCSE / A-Level (Essential).
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to develop a stimulating and engaging classroom environment.
- Excellent communication skills, able to successfully communicate the underpinning principles of the curriculum with parents.
- Strong organisational skills, resilience, adaptability, and a sense of humour.
- International school teaching experience (Desirable).
