At Hassan Allam Construction, we are seeking a highly qualified Site Engineer – Mechanical to join our team on a major Nuclear Power Plant project. This is a unique opportunity to work on one of the most critical and technically demanding projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities:Supervise and execute mechanical works on-site in accordance with nuclear project specifications and international standards Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines Review and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements Ensure strict compliance with nuclear safety regulations, QA/QC procedures, and HSE standards Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems Liaise with consultants, client representatives, and subcontractors Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and track project milestones
Specific Requirements (Nuclear Project):Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering1–4 years of experience in construction projects (experience in power plants or heavy industrial projects is highly preferred) Previous experience in nuclear, power generation, or mega infrastructure projects is a strong advantage Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (such as ASME, ASTM, ISO) Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and documentation requirements Understanding of nuclear safety culture, compliance, and strict procedural environments Experience with mechanical systems such as piping, HVAC, fire fighting, and rotating equipment Ability to work within highly regulated and safety-critical environments Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
