About the Role Responsible for the entire Book cycle of our educational and academic publications. Your goal is to transform raw ideas into market-leading academic products while ensuring operational efficiency, creative excellence, and alignment with our strategic growth.
Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership & Growth Design and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with market trends and drives company growth. Oversee the Sector's budget, optimize resource allocation, and implement workflows that reduce time-to-market without sacrificing quality. Define and monitor KPIs for all Departments, ensuring production timelines and quality benchmarks are consistently met.2. Departmental Management Lead the "From Scratch" Academic Book department; manage manuscript acquisition and ensure the pedagogical value of every book. Supervise the proofreading Department to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity and language accuracy. Guide the Art Direction Department and Layout Department to ensure the visual identity of our books is engaging, modern, and educationally effective.3. Publishing Operations & Standards Manage the full Book cycle from initial concept and drafting to final print-ready files. Ensure all content adheres to national and international educational standards and academic benchmarks. Develop and maintain rigorous content calendars so that releases are never delayed.4. Stakeholder & Market Engagement Act as the primary liaison for high-profile authors, educators, and academic institutions. Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Distribution to ensure the content's unique selling points (USPs) are effectively communicated to the market. Represent the company as a thought leader at academic conferences, exhibitions, and industry events. Qualifications10+ years of experience in publishing, academic content development, or related areas, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. A master's degree is highly preferred. Deep understanding of academic publishing standards, curriculum design, and the latest trends in EdTech/Print. Relevant professional certification, Project Management (e.g., PMP, ATD certifications) is a plus.
