Job Purpose: We are looking for a skilled Local Purchasing Engineer – Specialist to support our Procurement and Operations teams in managing all local purchasing activities. The role ensures the timely acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive costs while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. Key Responsibilities:Purchasing & Procurement:Manage and follow up on all local purchasing orders, contracts, and vendor agreements. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing. Review purchase contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure alignment with company policies. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production and projects. Coordination & Reporting:Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to assess procurement needs and risks. Prepare purchase reports, track budgets, and provide regular updates to management. Assist in resolving supplier disputes and issues effectively. Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company procurement policies. Job Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Experience: 8–12 years in procurement/purchasing, preferably in industrial or large corporate environments. Proven experience in vendor management, negotiations, and contract handling. Strong understanding of local procurement regulations and procedures. Skills & Competencies:Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Very good command of English (written and spoken). Personal Attributes:High level of integrity and professionalism.
