Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Polyurethane Chemist in the Research and Development (R&D) department located in El Sadat City. The Polyurethane Chemist will be responsible for conducting research, developing new polyurethane products, optimizing existing formulations, and performing quality control testing. The role also involves working in a laboratory setting to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications, analyzing data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and preparing detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities • Develop and formulate polyurethane-based systems. • Conduct research & development (R&D) for specialized industrial products. • Develop products such as: • Polyurethane adhesives • Binders for recycled rubber systems • Industrial coatings and PU systems • Perform laboratory trials, analyze results, and optimize formulations. • Select and evaluate raw materials including Polyols, MDI, TDI, and additives. • Support scale-up from lab to industrial production.

Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Polymer Science. • Proven experience in Polyurethane formulations. • Preferred experience in: • Industrial adhesives • Flooring systems • Construction or insulation materials
Qualifications Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and Quality Control processes Comprehensive Analytical Skills, including data interpretation and problem-solving Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and in conducting various types of Research Strong understanding of polyurethane chemistry and application processes Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Prior experience in the polymer or polyurethane industries is a plus
