Company Description The Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth (SITFY) is an esteemed platform for young theater creators, showcasing performances developed in drama schools, universities, and training centers worldwide. As the first international competitive festival for youth in Sinai, it is hosted in Sharm El-Sheikh, known as "the land of peace." SITFY combines culture, art, and tourism in a vibrant celebration that highlights the role of performing arts in fostering cultural and economic development. The festival brings together prominent global artists to contribute to the growth and international recognition of South Sinai as a hub for culture and tourism.
Role Description This full-time, hybrid Founder and Chairman role is based in Giza, with the flexibility to work remotely as required. The Founder and Chairman will oversee all strategic initiatives of SITFY, ensuring the organization's mission and vision are effectively executed. Core responsibilities include establishing strategic partnerships locally and internationally, leading fundraising efforts, overseeing project teams, and ensuring the festival's artistic and cultural integrity. The role also involves representing the organization at high-profile events, engaging stakeholders, and coordinating with government and private sectors to further SITFY's objectives in promoting youth theater, culture, and tourism.
Qualifications Leadership and Strategic Thinking: Proven leadership experience, strategic planning, and team management skills. Communication and Representation: Effective public speaking, relationship building, and stakeholder engagement skills. Event and Project Management: Expertise in overseeing large-scale events and managing interdisciplinary project teams. Fundraising and Partnership Building: Ability to secure funding and form partnerships with governmental, cultural, and private sector entities. Cultural and Artistic Knowledge: A strong understanding of theater, arts, and cultural project operations. Adaptability and Decision-Making: Capacity to balance hybrid work (on-site in Giza and remote tasks) while leading an international festival. Additional Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Arts Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the performing arts or cultural sector is advantageous.
