Product Designer
A Product Designer oversees the entire product development lifecycle—from conceptualization to launch—ensuring the product is functional, aesthetically pleasing, and user-centric. Key duties include conducting user research, creating wireframes/prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align design with business goals. They work extensively with tools like Figma, Sketch, or CAD to iterate on designs based on user feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- User Experience (UX) & Research: Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests to identify user needs and pain points.
- Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for web or mobile apps.
- Collaboration: Work with product managers, developers, and engineers to define requirements, build MVPs, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Iteration: Analyze user feedback and data to iterate on designs and improve usability.
- Strategy: Participate in product strategy discussions to align designs with business goals and market trends.
- Design Systems: Contribute to, maintain, and scale design systems and UI libraries.
Typical Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI, or a related field.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, user research, and shipped products.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or prototyping tools.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS capabilities (for digital products) or manufacturing processes (for physical products).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
