Marketing Assistant

 

Responsible to: the Director of Marketing

 

Purpose of the Role

  • The British International School, Cairo, is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Assistant to support the Director of Marketing in delivering the school’s strategic marketing, communications and admissions objectives.
  • This is a fast-paced and varied role suited to a highly organised individual with a passion for design, content creation and brand storytelling. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the promotion of the school through high-quality marketing materials, social media content and internal communications.
  • Working closely with academic and operational departments across Foundation Stage, Junior School, Senior School, and Sixth Form, the Marketing Assistant will help ensure the consistent delivery of engaging, on-brand communications to support pupil recruitment, retention and community engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Marketing in the implementation of BISC’s marketing and communications strategy.
  • Assist in the planning, creation and scheduling of content across the school’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
  • Design engaging digital and print marketing materials using Canva or similar design platforms in line with BISC brand guidelines
  • Create social media graphics, posters, newsletters, presentations and internal communications assets.
  • Assist with the capture and organisation of photography and video content across school events and daily school life.
  • Support the promotion of key school events, including Open Mornings, performances, sports fixtures and enrichment activities.
  • Liaise with staff across the school to gather content for marketing purposes.
  • Ensure all marketing materials are accurate, engaging and aligned with the BISC brand.
  • Assist with website content updates and digital communications where required.
  • Support the coordination of external agencies.
