Presales Manager – Hardware Division Department Sales / Business Development Reports ToSales Director / Managing Director Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Lead and develop the Hardware Presales team, ensuring high technical and commercial competency. Contribute to go-to-market strategies for hardware solutions and key vendors. Align presales activities with company revenue, margin, and growth targets. Presales & Technical Responsibilities Analyze customer business and technical requirements and translate them into optimal hardware solutions. Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions including:Enterprise Servers and HCIStorage Solutions Networking and Security Hardware Data Center and Cloud-ready Infrastructure Prepare and review:Technical proposals Bills of Materials (BOM) Costing, pricing, and margin analysis RFP, RFQ, and tender responses Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and solution demonstrations to customers. Sales Enablement & Deal Support Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal sales teams. Support key customer meetings and complex deal closures. Work closely with Sales to qualify opportunities and ensure solution feasibility. Vendor & Partner Management Manage relationships with hardware vendors (e.g., Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, HP, Fortinet). Coordinate special pricing, rebates, and vendor programs. Ensure compliance with partner certifications and vendor technical requirements. Governance & Collaboration Standardize presales documentation, templates, and solution methodologies. Ensure smooth handover from Presales to Delivery and Operations teams. Maintain adherence to best practices, quality standards, and SLAs.
Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience7–10 years of experience in IT presales or hardware solution design. Proven experience within system integrators or IT services companies. Previous leadership or team management experience is required. Technical Skills Strong expertise in:Enterprise servers and storage systems Networking and security hardware Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Data center architecture and design Vendor certifications are a strong advantage. Business & Soft Skills Strong commercial and financial awareness. Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
