Position Summary: The Business Development Manager – Agribusiness is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth and expanding Linah Farms’ market presence across local and international markets.
The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the agricultural product portfolio to enhance commercial performance and long-term profitability.
This position plays a critical role in evaluating agricultural investments, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategy and return objectives.
Working closely with production, agronomy, finance, and leadership teams, the Business Development Manager translates market intelligence into actionable commercial strategies, go-to-market plans, and customer solutions.
The role also leads key account management, negotiates long-term commercial agreements, and provides data-driven insights through market analysis, revenue forecasting, and performance reporting to support informed decision-making and scalable growth.
Role Duties & Responsibilities: 1.
Revenue Growth & Market Expansion Drive sustainable revenue growth by identifying and developing new sales channels, markets (local & export), and high-value customer segments for Linah Farms’ agricultural products.
2. Strategic Partnerships Development Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with distributors, exporters, retailers, processors, government entities, and agribusiness stakeholders to expand market reach and business scale.
3. Agricultural Investment Opportunities Source, assess, and recommend new agricultural investment opportunities (farms, projects, joint ventures) aligned with Linah Farms’ growth strategy, including feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and risk assessments.
4. Mergers, Acquisitions & Joint Ventures Lead the commercial evaluation of potential acquisitions, mergers, and joint ventures in the agriculture sector, coordinating due diligence, valuation inputs, and integration planning with finance and leadership teams.
5. New Crop Development & Portfolio Expansion Propose and evaluate new crop varieties and agricultural products based on market demand, profitability analysis, climate suitability, and export potential, in collaboration with production and agronomy teams.
6. Commercial Strategy & Go-to-Market Execution Develop and execute business development strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market plans to position Linah Farms competitively across B2B, retail, HoReCa, and export channels.
7. Client Relationship & Key Account Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and institutional buyers, negotiate commercial terms, secure long-term contracts, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Market Intelligence & Performance Reporting Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs; provide actionable commercial insights to leadership; manage pipeline reporting, revenue forecasting, and business performance KPIs.
