The role
As Head of HR, you’ll be a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, leading the full spectrum of HR functions to support SCCT’s operational and strategic goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Defining and executing the People Strategy aligned with business objectives and Maersk’s HR framework
- Leading organizational design and workforce planning for current operations and future growth
- Driving talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development
- Building a learning culture that enables managers to develop high-performing teams
- Managing employee and industrial relations, including union engagement and CBA renewals
- Ensuring compliance with Egyptian labor law and internal policies
- Overseeing compensation, benefits, and HR services with a focus on competitiveness and efficiency
- Embedding a performance and accountability culture across all levels
- Championing diversity, inclusion, and ethical conduct
- Developing a high-performing HR team with strategic and operational capabilities
- Contributing to business strategy and transformation as a member of the Terminal Management Team
Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking a lean-minded HR leader who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
You’ll bring:
- A university degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (postgraduate studies preferred)
- 12–15 years of experience in terminal or industrial environments, with at least 5 years in senior (HR) leadership
- Strong expertise in talent management, organizational design, and leadership development
- Business acumen and the ability to align people strategy with business priorities
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior and multicultural teams
- Analytical thinking, sound decision-making, and change leadership capabilities
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
