We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by verifying financial transactions and performing cost analyses.
Responsibilities- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
- Determine fixed costs
- Plan and record variable costs
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
- Analyze variance and report profit margins
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
- Provide technical support and advice to Management
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with (GAAP/IFRS) principles
- Liaise with Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures
Proven experience as a senior accountant and familiarity with cost analysisExperienced 6-8 years in AccountingThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresIn-depth understanding of (GAAP/IFRS)Awareness of business trendsFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHands-on experience with accounting software , ( EXPERT ON ODOO )Advanced MS Excel skills including lookups and pivot tablesAccuracy and attention to detailBS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
