Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled POS Maintenance Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of our point-of-sale operations. In this role, he will act as the primary link between Fawry and our regional maintenance teams. He will be responsible for remote technical support, system upgrades, and occasional on-site missions to Chad and Sudan to ensure our infrastructure remains cutting-edge and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Technical Support
Provide high-level technical support to the local maintenance team to resolve hardware and software POS issues.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot terminal connectivity or transaction errors remotely.
Guide field technicians through complex repair processes and diagnostic procedures.
2. Regional Field Support (Travel)
Travel for short-term assignments to Chad and Sudan to provide hands-on training to local teams.
Conduct on-site audits and system refreshes to ensure regional operations align with headquarters' standards.
Manage the physical rollout of critical hardware updates in these regions when remote intervention is insufficient.
3. Operations & Cross-Team Collaboration
Assist the Operations (Ops) Team in streamlining deployment workflows and inventory collaboration.
Translate technical Fawry updates into actionable operational procedures for the wider team.
Report on maintenance KPIs and regional system health to senior management.
