To design and develop mechanical systems for various projects in compliance with approved codes and standards, providing effective engineering solutions within a consulting engineering environment.

• Design HVAC systems in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Design plumbing, drainage, and water supply systems.
• Perform detailed mechanical calculations (cooling/heating loads, airflow rates, equipment selection).
• Prepare design and detailed mechanical drawings for projects.
• Prepare technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines within the consulting office (architectural, electrical, structural).
• Review and approve Shop Drawings submitted by contractors.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC, and local codes).
• Participate in technical meetings with clients and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and design studies as required.
• Follow up on design revisions based on project or client requirements.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• have 7 to 10 years of proven experience in mechanical design.
• Previous experience working in consulting engineering offices.
• Strong knowledge of building mechanical systems.:
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HAP/Carrier (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure.
• Good command of the English language (written and spoken).
