- Handling with shipping lines, booking vessels, tracking shipments, arrange loading dates, and vessel arrivals dates for export.
- Follow up with drivers and the schedules for release the containers for loading from the factory and their arrival at the port, coinciding with the cutoff date of vessel.
- prepare shipping documents with the shipping line, paying for container transport, loading and unloading costs, and container shipping fees.
- Tracking the arrival of containers to their final destination and arrival dates and free days for the customer.
- Preparing documents for certificates of origin, commercial invoices, and export certificates, packing list.
- Confirming vessels arrival time to Finance Dept for payment purposes and to Buyers to guarantee availability of shipping documents prior to vessels arrival to avoid paying demurrage or storage fees.
- Keeping records of all demurrages, detentions, etc. and follow up with the concerned buyers for settlements and implements preventive actions to avoid customs penalties.
- Prepare a justification note in case of paying demurrage mentioning the reasons of the penalty paid.
- Preparing and follow up the payments for the customs house with Finance Dept.
- Coordinate transportation and storage of imported goods.
- Arranging weekly schedule for loading dates.
- Coordinates with the factory the arranging of containers arrival for loading as per the monthly export schedule.
- Following up with the couriers and shipping lines for freight quotations for destinations not have a fixed contract with their destinations.
