Job profile:

The position open is to join the Architecture and Interior Architecture program at the GIU. Courses taught range from design studios, history and theory of architecture, ecology and sustainable design, sociology, conservation, urban design and Architectural Design. The program addresses local and global architectural and interior architecture challenges with sustainability and resilience as core topics of research.


Qualifications:

● Candidates should hold a PhD or Doctorate in Architecture from an accredited institution.

● Track record of collaborative research and successful supervision ● Demonstrated experience in teaching history and theories of Architecture is required. ● Demonstrated experience in teaching Architecture Design studios is required. ● Ability to lead Architecture design studios is essential. ● Practical experience in the field of architecture design is essential.

● Excellent teaching ability at both the undergraduate and graduate levels

● High capacity to develop pedagogical innovations and to manage a study program

● Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)

● Proficiency in English (oral and written)

Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have a record of accomplishment in independent and applied research.
