Research and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Research and Development (R&D) Specialist with proven experience in the food products sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new food products, improving existing recipes, and ensuring that all products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and formulate new food products from concept to commercialization.
  • Improve existing products to enhance taste, texture, nutritional value, and shelf life.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations, market research, and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and marketing teams to ensure product feasibility and market success.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and labeling requirements.
  • Manage trials, pilot runs, and scale-up processes in collaboration with manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, processes, and test results.
  • Source and evaluate raw materials, ingredients, and suppliers.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food product development.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, FDA, or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Creativity and innovation in developing market-relevant food products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and product development software/tools.
