Tender Preparation & Analysis
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for road projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and rate analysis for road works (earthworks, base course, asphalt, drainage, utilities, etc.).
- Identify technical requirements, risks, and project constraints.
- Prepare technical and financial proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
2. Coordination & Technical Support
- Coordinate with technical office, planning, procurement, and project teams to gather input and cost data.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations for materials and services.
- Review design drawings and provide technical clarifications as needed.
3. Cost Estimation & Pricing
- Prepare cost breakdowns, pricing sheets, and cost analysis for all activities related to road construction.
- Evaluate alternative construction methods to reduce cost without compromising quality.
- Ensure pricing aligns with market rates and project requirements.
4. Documentation & Submission
- Prepare and organize complete tender documentation (technical, commercial, and administrative).
- Ensure all tender submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions.
5. Post-Tender Activities
- Support negotiations with clients if required.
- Respond to post-tender clarifications and provide required documentation.
- Handover awarded tenders to the project execution team with complete documentation.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5–7 years experience in tendering/estimating for road and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of road construction standards (MOT, AASHTO, ASTM).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel (Advanced), and estimation software.
- Strong background in quantity surveying and cost analysis.
- Experience with pricing earthworks, asphalt works, drainage works, and road utilities.
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
