Architectural Technical Office Engineer (BIM Experience

Technical Drawings & Documentation:

  • Prepare and develop architectural shop drawings, details, and coordination drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and compliant with design specifications and project requirements.
  • Coordinate architectural layouts with structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
  • Review tender drawings, IFC drawings, and BOQs to identify discrepancies or missing details.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and final documentation for project handover.

2. BIM Modeling & Coordination:

  • Develop and manage BIM models for architectural elements in coordination with other disciplines.
  • Ensure BIM standards, templates, and naming conventions are applied consistently.
  • Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings using BIM tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of 3D visualization models and construction simulations.

3. Design Support & Review:

  • Support the design team by providing technical input, shop drawings, and material detailing.
  • Review project specifications, materials, and finishes for compliance.
  • Suggest value engineering solutions to improve design efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Verify that architectural elements meet functional, aesthetic, and safety requirements.

4. Project Coordination & Communication:

  • Coordinate with consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss drawing approvals, revisions, and technical clarifications.
  • Ensure smooth communication between the design office and site teams.
  • Track drawing submittals, approvals, and revisions using document control systems.

5. Quality & Compliance:

  • Maintain consistency with company standards and international building codes.
  • Ensure all drawings and models are updated and archived according to QA/QC procedures.
  • Support compliance with LEED or sustainability requirements, if applicable.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in technical office or design coordination roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with BIM coordination, clash detection, and LOD standards.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, finishing details, and materials.
  • Familiar with project documentation and submittal procedures.
  • Knowledge of international and local building codes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
