Develop, maintain, and enhance cost accounting systems tailored to a transport/logistics environment
Track and allocate direct, variable, and overhead costs—e.g. fuel, maintenance, labor, vehicle depreciation
Perform variance and trend analysis, identifying major cost drivers and potential savings
Prepare consolidated cost reports, profit forecasts, department-level budgets (monthly, quarterly, annually)
Oversee cost-ledger reconciliations, inventory or asset capitalization, and expense allocation to cost centers
Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and fleet management to ensure accurate invoice and billing practices
Support ERP implementation or transition projects related to cost systems integration
Advise executive management with actionable recommendations to optimize efficiency and cost structure
Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar roleThorough knowledge of accounting proceduresExcellent analytical skills with an attention to detailStrong time management skillsIntegrity, with an ability to handle confidential informationBSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study
