- Find new ideas for product development and distinguish them from other competing products to meet customer needs.
- Confirm each ingredient’s safe and effective percentage to be used (preparing safety & efficacy studies for each ingredient used according to authorities & scientific basics).
- Prepare market analysis according to the agreed template.
- Analyze the ingredients of each product in the market analysis and identify the potential harmful effects of each ingredient.
- Discuss the suggested ideas, activities & formula details with the seniors before starting to formulate.
- Document all trials on the Odoo system before lab work.
- Prepare formulation trials in the R&D lab according to GLP guidelines & R&D instructions.
- Perform stability tests on the approved trials and document all results to guarantee that the product will be stable.
- Send samples from the final formula to the microbiology labs to ensure the preservative efficacy.
- Create trial production sheets for all new products before production, including 100% formula and detailed manufacturing process.
- Scale up new products in the factory (1–3 trials) while coordinating with the production department.
- Prepare specification sheets for all products that contain the quality parameters of the product.
- Prepare a product information file containing ingredients, main actives, uses, and method of use.
- Prepare a composition file that contains the full ingredients of the product to fulfill Technical MOH requirements during the registration process.
- Develop any current product to cope with available raw materials and needed stability.
- Gain theoretical and technical knowledge by attending online and offline courses and webinars.
- Ensure the implementation of HSE regulations.
- Ensure the implementation of GPL guidelines.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Studies (preferred), Science, or Biotechnology.Experience: At least 1 year in cosmetics formulation (required).Technical Qualifications: Diploma in Cosmetics or a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics (preferred).Language: Very good English proficiency.Computer Skills: Very good command of Microsoft Office.
