- Supervise daily dispatch of trucks and assign trips to drivers based on schedules and priorities.
- Monitor the location and status of fleet vehicles using GPS or tracking systems.
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations and ensure correct documentation (delivery notes, trip logs, etc.).
- Ensure drivers follow routes, driving hours regulations, and safety procedures.
- Handle on-road issues such as delays, accidents, or breakdowns by coordinating with the relevant teams.
- Keep records of driver performance, attendance, and trip details.
- Follow up on fuel consumption and report any irregularities.
- Communicate with customers or internal departments to confirm delivery status and handle transport requests.
- Ensure that vehicles have valid licenses, permits, and are scheduled for regular maintenance (in coordination with maintenance team).
- Support training and induction of new drivers on company procedures and safety rules.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.3+ years of experience in transport or fleet supervision (preferably heavy trucks).Good understanding of road transport regulations and heavy vehicle operations.Strong leadership and organizational skills.Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and solve problems on the spot.Familiarity with fleet tracking systems and basic MS Office.Good communication skills and ability to manage drivers firmly but fairly.
