Tender Engineer

Tender Preparation:

  • Review and analyze tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals that align with project requirements.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials and services required for the bid.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor activity.

Risk Assessment:

  • Identify potential risks associated with the project and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the tender process.

Submission and Follow-Up:

  • Prepare and submit tender documents within specified deadlines.
  • Follow up with clients and stakeholders to clarify queries and enhance the chances of winning bids.

Post-Tender Activities:

  • Assist in the post-tender negotiations and contract finalization.
  • Analyze feedback from unsuccessful bids to improve future submissions.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience as a Tender Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.Strong understanding of construction processes and cost estimation techniques.Proficiency in tender management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
