Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Operational Duties: 
  • Business Development: 
    • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market trends in the logistics industry.
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and develop strategies to acquire new clients.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into customers.
    • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
    • Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging trends.
  • Strategic Customer:
    • Identify potential strategic partners and evaluate partnership opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with partners to explore collaboration and business expansion.
    • Collaborate with partners to develop joint marketing initiatives and leverage each other's strengths.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of strategic partnerships, adjusting as necessary.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
    • Conduct market analysis to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
    • Gather and analyze data on competitors' strategies, pricing, and offerings.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to management on market positioning, product/service enhancements, and competitive differentiation.
  • Internal Liaison and Support:
    • Collaborating with internal teams such as operations, customer service, and finance to ensure smooth execution of logistic projects.
    • Communicating customer needs and feedback to relevant internal departments.
    • Assisting with the development and implementation of new logistics solutions or services.
  • Administrative and Reporting:
    • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of business development activities.
    • Preparing reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer satisfaction.
    • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for the BD team.
    • Managing data and information related to logistics services and customers.
  • Financial Duties: 
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements.
    • Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.
    • Identify areas for improvement in the sales process and propose innovative solutions.
  • Customer Satisfaction Duties:   
  • Client Relationship Management: 
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to identify opportunities for improvement and upselling.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful execution of logistics projects.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or any related field.Years of Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the logistics industry.Certificates:Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP) is preferred.Certified Sales Professional (CSP) is a preferred.
