Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical engineer (Diesel Generator Specialist) join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of diesel generators and related electrical and mechanical systems, with a proven track record in maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting. The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation & selection of generators and supporting the R&D team in developing innovative solutions to improve generator efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generator design: Oversee generator selection and choose suitable genset items to match client requirements.
• Generator Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of diesel generators, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, provide quick solutions, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to other engineers and technicians in the field to ensure optimal performance of generator systems.
• R&D Support: Collaborate with the R&D team to identify and implement improvements in generator design, performance, and energy efficiency.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all generator maintenance activities, technical reports, and service history.
• Customer Support: Interact with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all relevant safety standards and regulations related to generator operation and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in generator E&M engineering (preferably with diesel generators for different capacities from small up to Mega capacity).
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in generators.
• Experience with generator troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with generator controllers, control panels, and protection devices.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the telecommunications or power industries.
• Familiarity with generator testing and commissioning procedures.
• Knowledge of renewable energy solutions is a plus.
