Purpose of the job

Support project management teams and ensure smooth execution of projects through time to market cycle. Providing organization and administrative assistance which contributes to project efficiency and success according to standard group governance.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Create detailed project plan, define tasks, resource requirements and assemble project staff and monitor continuously progress of the plan and the budget and report back to management
  2. Identify, log, analyze and manage potential and actual issues and risks, taking corrective action by tackling day-to-day issues head on.
  3. Communicate effectively project expectations to the project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  4. Articulate and negotiate consensus on a final vision of the core project goals from scoping the requirements of all stakeholders, not forgetting the end-user.
  5. Identify the need for resources, and subsequently take on team management responsibilities in relation to the resource availability.
  6. Work directly with team members or with their team leaders to estimate effort, plan activities and negotiate consensus among individual team members on their appointed tasks including work done by 3rd party.
  7. Manage people and tasks through using MS projects, spreadsheets or other appropriate tools.
  8. Direct project teams in alignment with the company strategic direction, vision and perform project closure capturing and using relevant lessons learned.
  9. Understand the technology being used in order to understand and question requests coming from specialists and technical staff and to evaluate what is reasonable or possible.
  10. Understand relevant methodologies, processes and standards and ensure the alignment with all project team members.
  11. Responsible for the project commitment to quality for purpose or specification level, and may need to call on specialists to assist in creating or assessing quality standards.
  12. Develop full scale project plans and assign specific roles to all the team members with a clear expectations and deadlines across all project stakeholders.
  13. Generate many types of documents, including requirement specifications, schedules, personnel records, project reports, communication (email) records, design specifications, meeting agendas, minutes and status reports.
  14. Maintain regular updates of all strategic projects documentation repository
  15. Manage service/product new submissions and validate that project milestones are fulfilled to support Go / No Go decisions.
  16. Work closely with TTM Orange group and act as an interface in all group wide projects/initiatives.
  17. Develop and manage projects database for all Orange products / services.
  18. Develop a quarterly time to market dashboard to the executives to provide an overall view on all new products/services.

Job specification

Education

1. Bachelor degree from a reputable university

2. Post graduate studies are an asset.

3. Project management certification (PMI, Prince 2, etc.) is a plus

Experience

1. 0 - 2 years of experience (in Telecoms is a plus)

2. Experience in using program management tools (MS project, Primavera, etc.)

3. Experience in using Access program
