Job Purpose:
This role is specialized in financial transaction monitoring, analyzing suspicious activities that could potentially include fraud. The job responsibilities of a fraud analyst include 24/7 fraud transaction monitoring, action the detected fraud cases, report the fraud cases to scheme, analyzing the point of compromise, provide feedback on Fraud Rules effectiveness and recommend enhancement to the fraud rules, and deliver immediate notification and fraud reporting to client banks.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with cardholders to provide them with preventative measures to protect the safety of their card and prevent any fraudulent activity.
- Handle fraud investigations and provide documentation and analysis to assist in related decision making.
- Develop and implement fraud transaction monitoring rules to detect unauthorized card use in coordination with cards management.
- Monitor systems activities to generate daily, weekly and/or monthly reports identifying trends and/or potential fraud activities.
- Daily review of exception reports with a view to identify suspect activity/transactions and submission of summary risk finding reports.
- Contribute in the review of fraud risk assessments, scenario analysis and new product or change initiative assessments.
- Collaborate with other department to gather necessary information and insights .
Requirements
- Previous experince in fraud detection, investigation, risk management in banking or payment industries.
- Good knowledge in using fraud detection software and analytical tools.
