- Provide technical environmental safety supervision to ensure the incorporation of safety management recommendations and compliance with safety and health standards for facilities, equipment, or further expansion.
- Review and approve all projects involving Environmental and safety in new construction or modifications.
- Ensure that fire emergency considerations are addressed during the development of production processes, equipment, and facilities.
- Design, develop, and produce environmental Safety and industrial hygiene programs to satisfy factories' operational needs.
- Monitor the status of these programs. Assist factory operations in identifying safety-related problems and issues, and secure internal or external resources, as needed, to resolve them.
- Regulate the safety related to any product distribution and packing logistics.
- Prepare for external or corporate audits for environmental safety and health and coordinate the follow-up action plans. Coordinate the timely remediation of findings. Perform periodic self-assessments as required by external authorities.
- Host government inspections, coordinate inspection reports, and ensure the timely correction of any outstanding items due to inspections.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene surveys, colleague protection, practices, and equipment.
- Investigate serious injuries, illnesses, business interruptions, and property losses directly or through location personnel as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain emergency system and evacuation contingency plans and loss prevention programs as required and ensure implementation.
- Train and coach colleagues on health and safety programs and ensure skill performance levels are maintained.
- Review insurance policies and ensure all insurance measures are included and all areas covered.
- Follow up on legal issues related to the EH&S and work on filling the gaps.
- Handle the issuance of all certifications related to the EH&S area.
- Maintain power (Elect. Gas and water) records.
- Implement and follow up power conservation program.
- Present quarterly/annual incident reports.
- Manage the proper way to handle solid waste and keep records.
- Ensure that all EH&S systems are in place and in compliance with SOPs.
- Appraise performance for own staff.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.15-18 years of experience.Post graduate studies in the HSE field will be an asset.Problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills.Proactive leader, creative, ambitious & enthusiastic.Creative and Self-motivated.
