Description
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing:
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements specific to Egypt.
- Review and verify payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian labor laws, social insurance regulations, and tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related audit requests and participate in internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
- Accounting Integration:
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely posting of payroll transactions to the general ledger.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to payroll.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
- System Management:
- Manage payroll systems and software, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues.
- Implement system updates and improvements in collaboration with IT and system vendors.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management and finance teams.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare and present payroll metrics and analysis to senior management.
- Employee Support:
- Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide support and training to employees regarding payroll processes and self-service tools.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a strong background in accounting and audit.
- Solid understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
