Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Egyptian safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits within the factory environment to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all safety equipment and personal protective gear are properly maintained and utilized.
  • Organize and conduct health and safety training sessions for employees to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports, and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with the management team to establish safety performance goals and ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments for various tasks and processes, focusing on potential hazards in steel and iron production.
  • Provide technical support and advice to staff on occupational health and safety issues.
  • Stay updated on new health and safety regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements relevant to the steel and iron industry.

Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in the manufacturing industry (steel and iron experience is a plus).In-depth knowledge of Egyptian occupational health and safety standards and regulations.Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver training sessions.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.Certifications in safety and health management are preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA).
