Health and Safety Officer

The Role

We are looking for a conscientious and driven Health and Safety Officer to join our thriving Property Management team. The role will be based in Arkan – Sheikh Zayed.

As a Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and management of health and safety procedures across the organization. Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment, complying with legal requirements, and promoting a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of PM and property managers in delivering a best-in-class H&S management framework.
  • Oversee the H&S management and systems in place for managed properties, ensuring continuity of policies and procedures.
  • Lead and inspire staff to promote a positive health & safety culture.
  • Set goals for the operations department with periodic assessments for competency.
  • Formulate and develop annual objectives and targets.
  • Be responsible for the upkeep of all Health & Safety manuals, ensuring new versions are communicated and acted upon.
  • Assist the Property Management team in the periodic testing of emergency life support systems, emergency procedures, and business continuity planning.
  • Implement and chair a monthly Risk and H&S Management Committee.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and document control, ensuring all information is available.
  • Ensure a cooperative and cohesive relationship across all teams regarding H&S culture.
  • Develop and share best practices across the assets under management.
  • Assist the Tenant Relationship Manager in building tenant engagement and services, ensuring tenant safety culture is present.
  • Ensure effective operational communication through meetings, handovers, and reporting.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • 3- 5 years of Experience.
  • Good command of English
  • Excellent command of Excel & ERP systems
  • Previous real estate experience is a plus.
