MEP - Senior Facility Management Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Senior Facility Management Engineer with expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, real estate, or hospitality, with a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting MEP systems. This role will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of MEP systems within our facilities to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and occupant comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MEP Maintenance Management:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of MEP maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, to ensure the reliability and performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
    • Conduct regular inspections and performance assessments of MEP systems to identify maintenance needs, prioritize tasks, and develop maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide technical guidance and expertise on MEP systems, equipment, and components to support maintenance operations and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to address maintenance challenges, resolve issues, and implement innovative solutions for optimizing MEP system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
    • Utilize diagnostic tools, equipment, and techniques to troubleshoot MEP system failures, malfunctions, and performance issues, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality and prevent recurrence.
    • Analyze data, trends, and performance metrics related to MEP systems to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and energy conservation.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Coordinate with Senior Maintenance Manager, maintenance teams, and external stakeholders to plan and execute MEP maintenance projects, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and procurement plans, and oversee the implementation and quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of MEP maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and performance assessments for tracking and reporting purposes.
    • Generate reports, analysis, and recommendations related to MEP system performance, maintenance costs, and lifecycle management to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility management, property management, real estate, or hospitality, with a focus on MEP maintenance.
  • Strong technical proficiency in MEP systems, equipment, and components, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, building codes, safety standards, and energy conservation practices relevant to MEP systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
