Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using PowerBuilder and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Debug, test, and optimize code for improved performance and user experience.
- Assist in system migration projects, including upgrading legacy PowerBuilder systems to modern platforms.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
- Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and documentation processes.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience working with PowerBuilder (version 9.0 or higher).Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Anywhere, SQL Server).Proficiency in SQL, Stored Procedures, and database development.Experience in integrating PowerBuilder applications with web services and other modern systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with migration projects (e.g., moving from PowerBuilder to Java/.NET).Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Knowledge of other programming languages such as Java, .NET, or C#.
