Project Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Financial Planning and Budget Management Develop and execute the financial plan for engineering projects, ensuring budgets are used efficiently and adjusted based on project progress.Monitor budget implementation to ensure efficient allocation and use of project funds.

2. Cost Control and Expense Management Manage project cost accounting and optimization, ensuring all project expenses are within budget.Monitor spending at each stage and optimize cost management processes.

3. Engineering Payment Collection and Communication Maintain communication with the client and consulting companies, follow up and collect project payments, ensuring timely receipt.Coordinate contract, invoice, and progress payment matters, promptly resolving payment issues.

4. Cash Flow Monitoring and Fund Management Monitor project cash flow to ensure stability and forecast future funding needs.Allocate funds efficiently to meet the financial needs of the project.

5. Document Processing and Contract Management Handle tax exemption certificates required for the engineering project, ensuring the project benefits from applicable tax incentives.Manage bank guarantees, contract bonds, and other financial documents to ensure the fulfillment and security of project contracts.Liaise with relevant departments and institutions to ensure timely and effective document processing.

6. Financial Reporting and Analysis Prepare regular financial reports, providing project financial analysis to ensure management is updated on financial status. Analyze project financial data to support decision-making by the management team.

7. Tax Compliance and Audit Management Ensure tax compliance for the project, adhering to local tax policies and optimizing tax arrangements.Prepare for internal and external project audits, ensuring financial data accuracy and transparency.

8. Risk Management and Compliance Identify and assess financial risks associated with the engineering project, developing strategies to mitigate those risks.Ensure the financial operations of the project comply with legal regulations and company policies.


1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Engineering Management, or related fields.2. At least 5 years of experience in financial management, with a preference for experience in engineering project finance.3. Familiarity with Egyptian and international financial regulations and tax policies,especially those related to document and contract management for engineering projects.4. Proficiency in financial software and project management tools, with strong data analysis and communication skills.5. Excellent English communication skills, capable of effective interaction with clients, consulting firms, and other stakeholders.6. Experience handling tax exemption certificates, bank guarantees, contract bonds, and other financial documents.7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
