Role Purpose:
he primary purpose of the DevSecOps role is to embed security principles and practices within every stage of the software development lifecycle. This role will ensure that development, operations, and security teams work collaboratively to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. The DevSecOps engineer is responsible for integrating automated security checks and tests into CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and responding to threats in real time. By promoting a culture of shared responsibility for security, this role aims to improve the overall resilience of applications and infrastructure, enabling faster, more secure releases of software products and services.
VF-EG Network Security
• Appropriate Cyber security nodes design
• Developing the High Level and low level design documents
• Identify relevant network topology that best utilizes the resources of the network and minimizes the CAPEX and/or OPEX spending.
• Ensure 3rd party connectivity security
• Ensure VF-EG internet resources security and take all the needed measures to maintain its availability.
• Ensure VF-EG public cloud security
• Ensure total separation between the enterprise network and Telecom infrastructure and make sure that the right access/authority given to the right person.
• Secure VF-EG interconnectivity and ensure all service security and availability
Who you are
Security Integration in CI/CD
•Automate security checks in continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Perform static and dynamic code analysis.
• Ensure that security vulnerabilities are addressed before deployment.
• Decide on security tools to integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define thresholds for vulnerability remediation.
1. Incident Response and Threat Management
• Monitor production environments for security anomalies.
• Collaborate with cyber defence and development teams to respond to incidents.
• Analyse and address root causes of security incidents.
Optimize Network Quality
• Study the effect of SW/HW upgrade plans on IT Network Capacity.
• Study the effect of new service/promotion on network Capacity.
• Generate Weekly, Monthly Report to Keep Track on Security KPI.
• Study of new Security Systems / Tools or Features.
• Study of new Security Management Systems / Tools.
• Develop and implement software tools to monitor the Security systems and to provide useful statistics, Trend Analysis using Historical data to capture the Subscriber behaviour/Profile across different seasons and occasions.
