Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:
Design Review and Supervision:
- Review electrical engineering designs prepared by contracted engineering firms.
- Supervise the preparation of detailed electrical drawings and workshop drawings created by the technical office.
Electrical Load Calculations:
- Calculate the necessary electrical loads (Power Supply) for the project, including residential lighting, street lighting, excess loads, transformers, and facilities.
- Collaborate with the Quantity Surveyor to estimate all equipment and materials required for electrical installations and cabling.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Work with the planning engineer to create the execution plan for electrical works, including the installation of lighting networks, transformers, and electrical risers for each building.
- Supervise the execution of electrical works with subcontractors to ensure compliance with the project schedule and quality standards.
Coordination and Problem Solving:
- Coordinate with design engineers in the technical office and site engineers to resolve issues affecting the timely execution of contracted electrical works.
- Liaise with the national electricity authority to ensure the project is supplied with electrical power during and after construction.
Cost and Quantity Review:
- Review the cost estimates provided by the Egyptian Electricity Authority for extending cable networks and lines to the project site, including the installation within the project's buildings and facilities.
- Participate in committees for the inspection, receipt, and inventory of electrical equipment and supplies.
Network and Safety Supervision:
- Supervise the installation and connection of electrical networks and ensure their safety before and during operation.
- Participate in setting the technical specifications for electrical equipment and devices required for the project.
Final Acceptance and Documentation:
- Oversee the final acceptance of subcontractors’ electrical works and installations, ensuring that all work complies with the project’s standards and requirements.
- Sign off on the owner’s certificates for the completed electrical works at the project.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. (cumulative grade must not be less than Good).10 - 15 years of experience in electrical site supervision for the construction of large-scale building projects with a focus on medical mega projects.Excellent knowledge of construction drawings, standards, and regulations.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively with design, execution, and subcontracting teams to resolve issues.
