Al Mespar Contracting Corp. is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Office Engineer with specialized expertise in low current and control systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in handling technical documentation, drawing reviews, and system layouts. This role is crucial for ensuring accuracy in design, implementation, and execution across our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shop & As-Built Drawings: Creation and validation of shop drawings and as-built documentation to ensure alignment with project execution.
- Final Take-Off & Changes: Conduct final take-off, highlight design changes, and ensure project teams are aware of all modifications.
- Shop Drawing Review: Compare shop drawings with approved technical submittals for compliance.
- Riser & Schematic Diagrams: Develop and review riser diagrams and schematic layouts, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Field of View Calculations: Conduct field of view assessments to ensure proper coverage and performance.
- Rack Layouts & Control Room Layouts: Design and arrange equipment racks and control rooms to optimize functionality and space utilization.
- Termination Lists & Label Sheets: Prepare detailed termination lists and label sheets for field teams.
- Testing & Commissioning Checklists: Develop testing and commissioning checklists to ensure project readiness and compliance.
- Documentation & Coordination: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation, working closely with design and project teams to resolve issues.
- Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Act as a technical representative in client meetings, ensuring smooth communication and addressing technical queries.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering (or related field).Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for creating and reviewing technical drawings.Extensive experience with low current, and building automation systems.Experience in creating and reviewing riser diagrams, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.Excellent understanding of technical documentation and project submittals.Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.Attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes.Ability to collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth workflow.Certifications in low current or control system technologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
