As an Industrial Engineering Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for four main pillars: IE, NPW, KAIZEN, and MSPO. For IE, you will work to improve shop floor conditions to reflect Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, and People (SQCTP). Meanwhile, for NPW, you will cascade Nissan standards and ensure they are implemented and followed. For KAIZEN, you will manage the shop responsible for improving shop floor conditions through new ideas. Finally, for MSPO, you will set plant targets, monitor plant performance, and track plant KPIs.
Key Accountabilities:
IE:
- Apply IE tools and processes while leading a CFT on the shop floor to reduce waste and improve the plant's SQCTP conditions.
- Mentor and lead the THANKS team to apply THANKS projects at suppliers to reduce costs and improve supplier processes.
- Measure and report plant DSTR KPI.
- Monitor direct and semi-direct headcount and approve changes to ensure maximum utilization of the headcount.
KAIZEN Shop Management:
- Manage the Kaizen shop budget.
- Maintain the material racks and dollies in NMEG.
- Approve and manage work requests for the KAIZEN shop.
- Ensure the KAIZEN shop's safety, work processes, and skill levels.
KARAKURI:
- Own the KARAKURI RTC in NMEG and certify the KARAKURI regional trainers.
- Design and implement new KARAKURI solutions in NMEG to improve workshop conditions.
GK:
- Manage monthly Genba Patrol and display boards for the Plant Director to review progress and improvements in the workshop.
MSPO (Manufacturing Strategy Planning Office):
- Create and monitor the NMEG plant AOP.
- Create and report plant KPIs to AMIO management through monthly MMC meetings and other reports.
- Lead IS/Performance in NMEG and align with the region through regular meetings.
Others:
- Measure and monitor various KPIs within Monozukuri, such as overtime consumption, indirect skill sufficiency, and other related projects.
- Train direct and indirect employees on various topics, such as 5S, skill development, and NPW basics.
Qualifications & Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering degree.
- 8+ years of experience in the Engineering field and Industrial Engineering.
