BASIC FUNCTION:
- To provide operational assistance to the Shift Leader in performing daily computer operations for the bank
- During assigned shift, enforces standards and methods for the physical security of the installation. Directs operation of all data processing equipment.
- Performs all changes to the operating systems and application as instructed. Adjusts operating system configuration as required by test, pre-production and production system schedules. Provides records required to supplement the console log, incident report, computer utilization and data set backup.
- Monitors all the systems, takes the necessary action and provides assistance to the all users and solves the software problems.
WORK PERFORMED & MAJOR DUTIES:
- Positive ranking from Auditors and IT security department for all IT registers managed by department
- Runs end of day daily/monthly/yearly cycles as per established procedures.
- Act as 1st support to solve EOD problems.
- Follows up recovery procedures for EOD.
- Monitors performance of production functions which cover equipment and running of jobs.
- Performs and ensures that necessary backups are done and are ready for delivery to the offsite locations.
- Estimates materials requirement, such as paper, tapes and printer ribbons.
- Enforces procedural and security standards for operations functions.
- Completes shift reports/incident report logs and completes problem report in case of not solving the problem.
- Sorts out and distributes reports as required.
- Monitors all ATM network after office hours and during holidays and advises concerned parties on latest status.
- Suggests improvements / scheduling of production jobs in order to increase efficiency of the system.
- Sets and operates computer peripheral devices and performs necessary cleaning.
- Monitors all delivery channels hardware and Software and takes appropriate action.
- Provides on the job training for trainee Computer Operators.
- Enhances knowledge of AS400 / iSeries Operating Systems, Upgrade, PTF, IPL, Flash Storage & installation application through practical & reading manuals.
- Supports desktop, printers, laptops, mobiles and other peripherals that includes but not limited to new installation, fixing problems and shifting.
- Grants/deletes/modifies users' access to application.
- Maintains the users limit for all branches.
- Updates security profile for EBA, Swift, IT and Windows logon.
- Shift of PCs and equipment.
- Configures users profile on PC.
- Installs & updates applications software.
- Creates users profile & e-mail.
- Creates, deletes and modifies users.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned.

ACCESS TO CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION:
- Has access to all information contained in the major applications systems and the bank network. Information disclosure can cause embarrassment and may be detrimental to the bank interests.
