Job responsibility
- Identify and evaluate suppliers of electrical components and systems. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best value and ensure quality.
- Understand technical requirements and specifications for electrical systems. Ensure that procured items meet these specifications and quality standards.
- Manage budgets and costs associated with procurement. Look for cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering and project management, to ensure timely delivery of components and systems.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of procured items to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance reports.
Required Skills
- In-depth understanding of electrical engineering principles, electrical components, and systems.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Ability to analyze technical specifications, supplier proposals, and cost factors
- Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with internal team
- Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy in evaluating and documenting procurement activities.
Education -
BSc, degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering
Experience -
4-6 years of experience
