Job Purpose

Work within Technical Terminals Team for all Mobile/Fixed consumer, enterprise, IoT terminals and SIMs activities. Ensure adherence to consumer/enterprise terminals and SIMs Strategy and Standards for all networks (2G, 3G and 4G, 5G, IMS ..etc). Support introducing consumer/enterprise terminals and SIMs to the market. Provide terminals and SIMs impact analysis on network. Provide findings report and KPIs for discovered/solved issues. Ensure Terminals and SIMs Technical Readiness to match Etisalat strategy and the technology roadmap. Validation and Quality Assurance of Terminals and SIMs and its compatibility with new technologies “5G, LTE, IMS, VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling ,…etc”. Technical Acceptance of all new Terminals, SIMs, consumer and Enterprise products including pre/post production. Enable Etisalat New Technologies with Terminals OEMs.

Technical Acceptance & Certification of uSIMs/eSIMs/iSIMs with existing network (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G , IMS,…etc) Technical Acceptance and Certification of Commercial Terminals Products Technical Acceptance and Certification of Apple new iOS releases for all iPhone Families before commercial launch. < Terminals and SIMs Customization >\: Technical Customization of Planned Terminals & Commercial Bundled devices with different OEMs/ODMs vendors to match with Etisalat Network strategy Customize Terminals and SIMs software with vendors to support new network capabilities and features Customize Etisalat terminals for new technologies (LTE, IMS, VoLTE, VoWiFi, 5G, EVS) Develop IPv6 for different new Mobile Data & Fixed Terminals in the Market Customize SIMs over different technologies (2G SIMs, 3G SIMs and LTE SIMs). < Terminals Capabilities Data Base Development >\: Perform Monthly Terminals Data Base updates to include new devices TACs and related technology features as per GSMA global standards “ 3G/4G Frequency bands, 5G, Device Categories, …etc” Develop new Terminals DB Voice & Data capabilities according to Network probing systems “SmartCare, Anritsu, ….etc” like “3GPP Release, LTE CAT, WB-AMR, …etc” Develop new Terminals DB RF capabilities like “Carrier Aggregation, 256QAM, 64QAM, CA BCS, FGI, …etc” Develop new Terminals DB IMS capabilities “VoLTE, ViLTE, VoWiFi, ViWiFi” Integrate Terminals DB with Etisalat DWH Systems for different Big Data Analysis. < VoLTE Integration & Optimization >\: Technical Troubleshooting for different VoLTE issues from Terminals R&D Tools & SmartCare Different Terminals Technical Validations for different NW VoLTE optimization changes Work with different OEMs “Apple, SAMUNG, Huawei ..etc” to integrate new VoLTE SW optimizations Provide monthly tracker for VoLTE Issues progress status Technical Certification of different VoLTE/ViLTE Terminals with Etisalat IMS and under different Access/Core Infrastructures. < Terminals Performance KPIs & Reporting >\: Provide Terminals Monthly Dashboard with Etisalat Voice & Data Analysis Develop Terminals Monthly Dashboard with different NW features analysis Provide Terminals Quarterly/Yearly Dashboard Develop new Terminals Performance KPIs to assess network impact and performance issues. < Ensure Best Terminals Customer Experience>\: Monitor Top Terminals behaviour and report network impact and findings. Check terminals detected issues and support solving it. SIMs reporting and performance analysis. < IoT/M2M Terminals >\: Categorise M2M terminals and wearables including testing and findings versus technologies. < Terminals Chipsets Performance>\: Performance analysis of different mobile chipsets [SAMSUNG, Apple, MediaTek, Qualcomm, HiSilicon, SpreadTrum, …etc].
