The Opportunity:


As Financial Controller MEA, you will be responsible for all statutory, tax, treasury, and accounting-related matters in the region.


In this position, you will report to the Head of MEA RTR Accounting Operations. As the most Senior Accounting Operations team member in the region, you will lead accounting, reporting, and controlling activities, manage accounting operations resources to deliver accounts; coordinate the activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements for the region.

Key Responsibilities:


•Lead accounting, reporting, and controlling activities, coordinating the activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.

•Accountability for reporting to the Group Reporting and Consolidation team and Central GBS function including analytical reviews and Balance Sheet Assurance.

•Manage Balance Sheet and provide assurance and substantiation of balances and control.

•Ensure that there is a strong control environment over the relevant accounting/finance processes and that relevant controls are effective and evidenced.

•Primary contact point for external auditors in the review of quarterly closings, documentation for accounting procedures, and accruals.

•Support Commercial Finance Lead in projects and ad hoc requests.

Skills

Essential Knowledge & Experience:


•Proven work experience in accounting and internal control within a global multinational organization in the region.

•Experience with ERP systems, planning tools, and Excel and PowerPoint.

•Ability to operate effectively within a global environment, using remote communication, and appreciating different cultural backgrounds.

•Strong collaboration, working cross-functionally within matrix structures.

•Strong written and verbal communication in English & Arabic.


Preferred Experience:


•Solid organization, project, and change management skills.

•Experience in the Pharma industry is a plus.


Education/Qualifications:


•BS/BA in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent.

•ACA/or ACCA/or CPA and/or equivalent accounting qualification.


Additional Information:


•This is a permanent, full-time position.

•The position is based in Cairo, Egypt.

•This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 3 days in our Cairo office.     Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
