- Supervise Coating, Painting and Insulation works at Site.
- Adhere to Project Coating & Insulation Specifications and Construction Supervision Instructions for all related activities.
- Provides Technical assistance to Site Manager & Site Superintendent on matters related to coating/insulation quality control.
- Ensure Construction Contractor Personnel are qualified to perform the coating and insulation works.
- Inspect and monitor coating and insulation works relevant to quality control.
- Ensure surface preparation and coating application quality.
- Monitor and review all tests and inspection results and quality record.
- Check and Inspect the Painting, wrapping & insulation material and ensure it confirms to the specifications.
- Ensure all Insulated/Coated Equipment, Piping & Structures have valid Coating/Insulation certificates
- Review and approve Construction Contractor Coating, wrapping & Insulation quality plans, procedures, and method statements.
- Ensure Painting Tools, Equipment and instruments are regularly calibrated.
- Witness and monitor blasting, coating and insulation systems quality, environment and health and safety requirements.
- Check the insulation systems and its application.
- Check wrapping application.
- Ensure Fireproofing (Paint) is performed according to specifications
- Prepare Punch list and ensure it has been cleared
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports concerning coating, wrapping and insulation activities.
- Check the coating, wrapping, and insulation physical progress.
- Review Construction Contractors invoices from technical point of view for coating/insulation works.
- Participates in other construction supervision QC activities whenever needed.
- Ensures the full implementation of the Company manuals, procedures and departmental work instructions, in accordance with the requirements of the Company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management systems.
- Ensures the awareness and implementation of the Quality Control programs and Quality Assurance procedures for the department activities within the framework of the overall Company Quality Management System.
- Ensures the full awareness and implementation of the applicable requirements of the Company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management systems.
B.Sc. in mechanical/ civil/ Metallurgical engineering with minimum 8 years of job relevant experience including experience in either of (mechanical works/civil constructions/E &I installations QC activities) in the field of oil and gas.Considerable knowledge of mechanical works /civil constructions/E&I installations QC activities as applicable.
