Organizational Context and Scope:

Working under the overall supervision of the Senior Field and Programmes Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Programme Manager (Shelter/NFI) based in Aden, the incumbent will support the implementation of SNFI activities across hubs in Yemen.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1.    Support the Unit to identify and implement technical solutions related to data collection, analysis, and visualization of Shelter/NFI data, including financial data in line with best practices on data security and data protection.
2.    Support the process of data collection performed by IOM field staff utilizing established mobile data collection tools and other tools to be developed in the future.
3.    Support the unit in preparation of regular Shelter/NFI reports and other qualitative/quantitative reports, maps, infographics, and Power Point presentations etc.
4.    Support the quantitative and qualitative analysis of Shelter/NFI’s data as well as the distribution of project
dashboards and other information outputs.
5.    Regularly contribute to the Shelter/NFI Cluster 5W matrix with information related to IOM’s Shelter and NFI
programs.
6.    Support and assist to conduct capacity building activities for both internal staff and external stakeholders on data management life cycle to improve accuracy in data collection, data analysis, and presentation skills through trainings.
7.    Support the need-based analysis through data management and GIS analysis to identify targets, coverage, and gaps.
8.    Support the production of maps to effectively support the IOM cartographic needs.
9.    Support the drafting of weekly sit-reps and other internal and external reports (including donor reporting) in terms of data/information.
10.    Support with ensuring effective archiving for shelter-NFI programme database and documents across the hubs.
11.    Support with the administrative and financial functions of the unit across the hubs where needed.
12.    Travel to the field as needed.
13.    Perform any other duties as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • High School diploma with minimum four (4) years of relevant professional experience, or
  • University degree in Computer Science/ Geographic Information Systems/ Graphic Design/ Architecture or
  • a related area with minimum two (2) years of relevant professional experience

Experience:

  • Previous work experience with an International Organization or NGOs is an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, and Adobe Creative Suite such as Adobe Illustrator / Id-Design or other graphics software
  • Advanced knowledge of mobile data collection, especially ODK, and KOBO.
  • Experience in creating macros, pivot tables, and complex formulas to streamline data processing and reporting workflows is highly desirable.
  • Experience in using software programs such as PowerApps, POWER BI for data visualization and analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS tools and relational databases (e.g., QGIS, SQL Server-Spatial).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to deep field locations.

LANGUAGES:

Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
